AZ Sleuths Book Discussion Group: Larkspur Lane and Broken Locket

Our AZ Sleuths group met this past Sat. March 27 to discuss and The Password to Larkspur Lane and The Clue of the Broken Locket. Attending were myself, Dede, Judy, Laura, Arlene, Becky, Beth Marie and Tina.

Here we are doing our usual book ritual of posting for the camera with the books for discussion!

People's favorite seemed to be Larkspur Lane and the revised text of Broken Locket (an all new story) was preferred.

At our last meeting I handed out plastic magnifying glasses for everyone to create a project around. These were the results shown above/below - bookmarks:

Nancy Drew Sleuths Cookbooks FS - Last 50

We are gearing up to print up our last 50 Nancy Drew Sleuths mystery theme cookbooks! We did a 100 print run a couple of years ago but I've had members who didn't get one of those wanting one and also members who got one but don't want to use it and get it dirty wanting a duplicate they can use.

If you would like to get one of the cookbooks which feature mystery theme recipes, sleuth convention photos, fun facts, mystery-isms, and Nancy Drew fun facts all throughout plus a running mystery you can solve throughout the cookbook, please contact me. I'm only printing the last 50 so get your orders in quickly. Some recipe errors in the first print run will be corrected in this print run. Cookbook is 196 pages, 8 1/2 x 11 size pages and spiral bound so it will lay flat when opened.

Here's a web page with info on the cookbook and some sample pages to preview.

Cost: 25.00 ea plus either 6.50 media/box or 12.00 flat rate priority for US buyers. Canada, 15.00 for 1 cookbook and overseas 25.00 for 1 book--e-mail for rates if more than 1 book outside US. Sorry but shipping outside the US for heavy objects has gotten terribly spendy.

I take checks:

P.O. Box 128
Higley, AZ 85236-0128

Or Pay Pal: nancydrewsleuth.com - I can also send you a Pay Pal invoice if you prefer.

Deadline to order: May 1st.

AZ Sleuths Book Discussion Group: Mysterious Letter Twisted Candles

Our AZ Sleuths book discussion group met again in January 2010. Attending were myself, Arlene, Judy, Dede, Gail, Beth Marie, Tina, Laura, Becky, and Leone.

We discussed books 8 and 9: Nancy's Mysterious Letter and The Sign of the Twisted Candles. Everyone seemed to prefer the originals, but the extended search for the valuables and trinkets in the revision of Twisted Candles was enjoyed.

Our next meeting is March 27 and we'll be discussing books 10 and 11. Also everyone was handed a magnifying glass to create a project around so we'll have our reveal on what each person was inspired to do.
