News & Updates for Sleuth Members

Hi Sleuths,

Just a quick note. I appreciate all the e-mails and cards about my grandmother's passing, thanks so much. I just got back to town late Monday night so I've been scrambling to catch up on orders, bills, and getting The Sleuth out which have kept me busy until this afternoon. I've spent about 1 day at home in the last 5 weeks so this is quite an adjustment getting back to the routine.

I've got a lot of e-mails to go through and return and lots of our projects and conventions and things to get back to working on. There's so much going on with Nancy Drew right now and the 80th that I feel almost lost trying to catch up but I'm fairly good at multi-tasking so hopefully will be up to speed shortly.

Expect a lot of updates from me in the coming two weeks here at this group, at our Blog:

http://ndsleuths.blogspot.com

Our Facebook/Twitter:

http://www.twitter.com/nancydrewfans

http://www.facebook.com/nancydrewsleuths

Our Discussion Group:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nancydrewsleuths

And personal e-mails to all Sleuth members on some items. If you normally don't read all my posts here, now might be a good time if you want to stay caught up on what's going on and stay current.

I appreciate your patience the last month with everything going on. I do so much for this group in running it, that when things are going on with me personally then everything, and you all get affected but I've tried to update everyone as best I can here and other outlets we have for news and updates.

I don't mean to let anyone slip through the cracks but not everyone is here at the discussion group, reads the Blogs or is on the Twitter or Facebook or updates their changing e-mails with me, so it can be a a challenge to get out the word about stuff going on (and delays/problems) to everyone.

I know everyone is enthusiastic and gung ho about things and that's great but please be patient with me in my time of trying to catch up on everything and get back up to speed on what all is going on. And check back regularly over the next couple weeks for news and updates as I go through my ever increasing gargantuan to-do list ;)

March/April 2010 Issue of The Sleuth

Our March/April 2010 issue of The Sleuth is ready to be mailed out. We were delayed in order to include our land/cruise convention wrap ups but then further delayed when I had to rush to Texas following the cruise to be with my grandmother who then passed away. I've been in Texas for several weeks to help with family so while I worked on the issue I wasn't able to physically mail it out until I returned to AZ. I mailed them out yesterday, Thurs. May 13.

Check out our website and subscribe, order back issues, etc.

Special: $3.00 each on back issues #1-20 if ordered by June15! No postage additional. If you are in Canada or overseas, however, let me know so I can let you know the additional postage to send if you're ordering a lot of back issues. Send to:

Shop at Cafe Press - How to Order & Support Us

Sleuths,

When you place an order at our Cafe Press shop, please order directly from our shop page: www.cafepress.com/nancydrewshop NOT at the Cafe Press regular website using their search boxes aka their Markeplace.

When you shop at Cafe Press's Marketplace and/or use their search boxes, what happens is our commission on sales is about .30 cents to 1.00 or so instead of the usual 5.00 so Cafe Press is the one raking in all the $$$ instead of our group for our projects, website and conventions and advertising.

When I log in to our store, I can see the name of people who order and it shows me where the order came from--our shop or the Cafe Press marketplace and I'm seeing the majority of sales from just the marketplace and not our shop.

Just bookmark our shop's site or remember that it's nancydrewshop that comes after the http://www.cafepress.com/. We also have links to our shop at our websites and my Nancy Drew site if you can't remember the url. We mark up items only 5.00 (our profit) and then pins/single cards at only 1.00, so we're not making a large amount on the sales to begin with. Our effort to keep the items in the store fairly inexpensive for collectors and fans to purchase.

Thanks for your continued support :)
